ARTIST DECHEN CHODRON
Dechen was inspired to develop her work as an artist because she discovered the zen of seeing .
Dechen has an Honours Degree in Fine Arts from Plymouth University and is an arts lecturer at Yeovil College. Dechen holds full qualifications as a youth leader and as a teacher for adult learners.
Her artistic talents cover a range of disciplines including Oil Painting, Sculpture, Land Art, Water art, Photography, Film & Video, Dance, and Storytelling.
Dechen's oil paintings are available as originals and prints, and have sold nationwide in the UK and abroad both to private collectors and public galleries, including a permanent exhibition in Bristol.
During her career which spans many years she has been commissioned by the Commonwealth Institute, the National Trust, actor Ben Kingsley, The Engine Room, South Somerset Mind, Somerset Youth Service and many schools throughout Somerset and Dorset.
